Dr. A. John Bahr graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1976. Prior to studying at Dental School, he attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in Psychology. Dr. Bahr has been practicing for almost 30 years. He has been in Blue Springs since 1980. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Bahr has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. He has attained a fellowship degree in endodontics, (root canals), and diplomate status from the American Academy of Pain Management, (TMJ treatment).

Dr. Bahr has been ceritfied in Laser Therapy, and is one of the few dentists in Missouri to use the Ultraspeed Pulsed CO2 Laser, the most advanced CO2 Laser manufactured to date.

Many of the techniques Dr. Bahr performs, which are now in vogue, he began using many years prior to this time. TMJ, rotary endo root canals, air abrasion, functional orthodontics, to name a few were not well known at that time, but have since become the standard of care. Many of these topics he has lectured on in varous places throughout the world including Mexico, the Philippines, Canada, and Costa Rica.

He presently spends his spare time providing humanitarian dental work for the Indians of the Talamanca Indian Reserve in Costa Rica. Pictures of this project may be found on this web site.
